The WITCiH mission is to educate & inspire women the world over through an understanding of Women in Tech & their history
WITCiH celebrate the positive and fundamental contribution women have, and continue to make to the inception, development and utilisation of technology in art, education and industry.
WITCiH commission, curate and produce exhibitions, lectures, workshops and performances to highlight the art and achievements of Women in Tech and to inspire others to embrace the expansive opportunities that technology makes available.
Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) have always had an intimate relationship with The Arts. Here at WITCiH we consider all areas of STEM as creative.
Under founder & artistic director, BISHI, WITCiH have curated a series of WITCiH Salons at the Barge house in Haggerston, a stone’s throw from tech city.
Our guests have included: Imogen Heap, Mira Calix, Gazelle Twin, Ana Matronic & Di Mainstone. WITCiH have curated events for We The Curious, Bristol & Tate Modern, Uniqlo Tate Late’s.
WITCiH curated their first festival, ‘The State of Gender,’ supported by the PRS Foundation & Arts Council England, commissioning new work from Miri Kat, Lia Mice, Rebekah Ubuntu, DNW headlined by a special lecture Gazelle Twin.
WITCiH was commissioned by Guerrilla Science with the UK Space Centre, to design the soundtrack to a VR app from the Intergalactic Travel Bureau, in New York.
BISHI has been a speaker at the Visconti Studio, Kingston University, She Says in Brighton for International Women’s Day & has been invited into Parliament to speak on behalf of empowering women in tech.
